Completed by ADI Development Group in 2017, the six-storey condominium at 5230 Dundas Street, known as Link Condos, sits on the north edge of The Orchard in north-east Burlington. It is the companion building to 5240 Dundas Street next door, and the two share Halton Standard Condominium Corporation 681.
Suites range from about 500 to 1,400 square feet, with plans from a one-bedroom up to a three-bedroom. The three-bedroom plans are the ones to watch if you're a family — they're rare in newer mid-rise buildings — while the one-bedrooms are a common first purchase or investment. On site there is an indoor swimming pool with a sauna, workout space, a roof terrace, a party room, bike storage and BBQ areas, with a concierge on duty. Pets may be kept, subject to restrictions.
CPO Management manages the building. As the complex is now several years old, the first reserve fund study will have set contribution levels, which the status certificate will show. Because the corporation covers two buildings, check the budget and reserve study to understand how shared amenities and major projects are allocated between them.
Big-box shopping, including a Walmart, is clustered at the Dundas and Appleby intersection close by, and a smaller plaza further south on Appleby handles pharmacy and liquor-store runs. Orchard Community Park's sports fields, splash pad and trails are nearby, and the provincial park along Bronte Creek is just to the east. Highway 407 is right above the neighbourhood, the QEW and Appleby GO are both about ten minutes south.
