About Burlington
Open houses in Burlington
This page lists every Burlington home with a public open house coming up, straight from the MLS® feed. North of the QEW, family areas like Alton Village, The Orchard and Tansley see a steady mix of detached homes and townhouses. Closer to the lake, look at Appleby and Shoreacres.
Go with your own agent
It's best to go to an open house with an agent rather than on your own. The agent hosting the open house represents the seller and works in the seller's best interest. An agent who represents you works for you and your best interest. Open any listing below and use its contact form to tell us the day and time you'd like to go. We'll be happy to meet you there and walk through the open house with you.
What to check at a Burlington open house
Many homes south of the QEW were built in the 1950s to 1970s. Ask about updates to the electrical panel, plumbing and windows, and check for signs of water in the basement. Homes near the lake or a creek may be in a conservation area, which can limit additions or new decks. If you commute, time the drive to the nearest GO station, since Appleby, Burlington and Aldershot GO serve very different parts of the city.
The Burlington market report shows current prices and how quickly homes are selling. If you're after a condo, browse the Burlington condo building directory.
An open house is a first look, not a home inspection. Before you buy, read our home inspection guide and learn how offer conditions protect you. Can't make it on the weekend? Ask us to book a private showing, or browse all Burlington homes for sale.

Burlington FAQ
When are most open houses in Burlington?
Most are on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Some homes hold an open house on both days of the same weekend, so if you miss one, check the listing for a second time.
What should I ask about an older Burlington home?
Ask how old the roof, furnace and windows are, whether the wiring has been updated, and whether the basement has ever taken on water. Your home inspection will confirm the details.
Why are there so few condo apartment open houses?
Many condo buildings limit open houses because of security and elevator rules, so condo apartments are usually shown by private appointment. Townhouses and detached homes make up most open houses.
