About Parkside Residences

Completed in 2010 by Valery Homes, the 6-storey building has 71 suites from 700 to 1,199 sq ft. Pets are allowed with restrictions.

Parkside Residences stands at 1379 Costigan Road, on the edge of a large park in east Milton's Clarke neighbourhood. Valery Homes finished the six-storey building in 2010. Its 71 suites make it the smallest of the four Valery condos on this stretch of Costigan.

The layout mix is simple. Every suite has two bedrooms, and some add a den. Units measure roughly 700 to 1,200 square feet. That makes the building a good match for a couple who wants a guest room, a parent downsizing from a house nearby, or a small family starting out.

A smaller building has trade-offs. There are fewer shared amenities, but the halls are quieter and you get to know your neighbours. Fees also tend to be lower when there is no pool or gym to run. Pet owners are welcome, subject to the corporation's limits, and ICC Property Management runs the building.

At fifteen years old, the building is nearing the age when larger repairs begin. Read the status certificate. Check the size of the reserve fund and what the latest study says is coming up.

Green space is the main selling point. Clarke's neighbourhood park wraps around the area, and four more small parks sit within about 700 metres. A local gym and a pizza spot are just under a kilometre away. Weekly shopping is handled at the plazas on Thompson and Derry Roads, where you will find a grocery store and a pharmacy.

Getting around is easy by car, with Highways 401 and 407 both close. The GO station in Milton runs weekday trains to Toronto. On weekends, the ski hills and hiking trails of the escarpment are a short drive west.
